Welcome to the Runaway Moms Club!
What is this place all about?
The RMC is a place for you mom. Not your kids, just YOU!
This is not a place where you will read about all the cute things my kid did yesterday or stories about me being knee deep in poo. I will not fill you with guilt because I rub it in your face about how I churn my own butter, sew my own clothes or make red velvet cake from scratch (yeah right…whatever…sure… I also grew my own wheat for my flour that I ground by hand). I promise not to take pictures of my perfectly decorated house with my white carpet or the whimsical images of my ranch house that I built from scratch. There will be no kid crafts, kid-friendly recipes or summer vacation camp ideas.
It’s just not that kinda mom blog.
However, don’t be disappointed because this is where it get’s good:
The Runaway Moms Club is a place where you are encouraged to be the best mom you can be by taking a damn break every once in awhile and refusing to feel guilty about it. In fact you should be taking a break regularly, no less than once a month and shoot for once a week. This place and this time is all about YOU and it’s for YOU and women (men too we don’t discriminate, “mom” is a role not a gender) just like you.
The RMC will share cool places to run away to and things to do when you run away. How-to-run-away-undetected tips can be found here and all that is related to parental escape. This is also a place for you to share as a guest writer and send in pictures and video of your own RMC crew and gatherings.
Runaway Moms Club Chapters
The goal of runawaymomsclub.com is to create a central place for moms all over the country and the globe to create their own local RMC’s and share tips, adventures and connect. Feel free to submit pictures and videos of your experiences and Contact The RMC if you want to write a guest blog about your local RMC Chapter and/or adventures. Make sure to let us know if you created a local chapter (totally unformal is the way to go!) so we can list your group. It’s good to get yourselves an email address in case others in your area want to connect. The key to the whole thing is this time is about you and your mom partners in crime. This isn’t a play group for your kids, this is a playgroup for you.
~Enjoy!
